Frank started tattooing in the late seventies as a member of a motorcycle club in Annecy, Haute Savoie. He was a tough guy who had cut his teeth in Djibouti. His first shop in Annecy was upstairs on rue de l'Annexion. After a few years, Frank moved to Lyon.
He became a member of another motoclub, and the Lyon shop was simply called "Frank Tattoo", on rue Fernand Rey. He would go on to become a major artist in the history of tattooing in France. He was one of the first to do big pieces like full backs. He was a complete artist, creating paintings and sculptures. Fascinated by Viking and Celtic culture, he also had close contacts with alchemists and their science.
Passed away in February 2003, his memory will live on forever for all those who had the good fortune to know him.
